Beddagana Wetland Park provides a home for a wide variety of wetland birds, butterflies, dragonflies, fishes and various animals amongst wetland vegetation and tranquil ponds as well as the Diyawanna Lake. This is a ‘live demonstration’ that aims to underscore wetlands’ importance to the overall ‘livability’ of cities such as Colombo.
